The course is free but to be eligible you must meet the following criteria:
Eligibility:
- You must live or work in West Suffolk
- Your business or organisation must employ less than 249 people
- You must be an adult (aged 19+), a UK/EU citizen and have lived in the UK/EU for the last 3 years
Course dates: Thursday 24 July 2014, 31 July, 7 August, 14 August, 21 August, 28 August, 4 September, 11 September, 18 September, 25 September, 2 October and 9 October.
Qualification summary:
This qualification has been designed to help individuals demonstrate the knowledge, understanding and skills required to use social media in business. It is ideally suited for people or employers who are establishing their social media presence or who wish to increase their understanding. This qualification is the core component of the Level 3 Advance Apprenticeship in Social Media and Digital Marketing.
Qualification structure:
Learners must achieve a minimum of 42 credits to achieve the qualification. 24 credits must be achieved from the mandatory units plus 18 credits from the optional units.
Minimum Guided Learning Hours (GLH) = 257
- Using collaborative technologies
- Principles of social media within a business
- Principles of keywords and optimisation
- Social networking management for a business
Optional units:
Two broad pathways exist to reflect differing bias towards Technical or Marketing skills. For both pathways a minimum of 18 credits must be achieved.
Each pathway has its own compulsory units (ticked below) plus our recommended options (marked O). Based on specific client requirement any of the units within the qualification can be delivered to meet business requirements.
